This is a post about real men and resilience! Using manual tools to finish a job that was stopped yesterday due to a thief. Michael never once complained. He's been working since this morning. I could see the determination in his face. I could also see the amount of force he was putting out to get the job done with his own two hands. I asked him, isn't there a power tool that could help you do that? He looked up at me and nodded with a smile. Then I asked him, is that one of the tools that was stolen yesterday? He replied, "yes, but it's okay." When I tell you no one works harder than this man to provide for his family, I mean it with my entire being! The devil tried to bring us down yesterday, but God doesn't give you anything you can't handle! 💪🏻 ✝️

As the wife behind the scenes , I am incredibly proud of all the hard work Michael W Trahan put into this beautiful truck! Many long hours away from our family, missing important events and a lot more grey hair. He's always been a humble guy, so I'll toot his horn! Proud is actually an understatement. No one matches his attention to detail, no one donates more hours, no one redoes something that no one else will notice, no one cares enough to consult the customer that maybe their idea won't work, but he assured them , he knows what will work, no one cares about the quality that again, no one will notice. Perfection is standard with him! Last thing, stay tuned. His best work is yet to come!

MAY 2026 CENTERFOLD – David Pitre (58) of West Monroe, LA owns and operates this stunning 2002 Peterbilt 379 with a 105” Double Eagle bunk and a sleek 323” wheelbase. Powered by a custom 6NZ CAT engine with “plenty” of power, hooked to an 18-speed and 3.36 rears, the truck was recently built by Michael Trahan of MW Trahan Restorations in Maurice, LA. David is leased to Intercity Lines out of Warren, MA and hauls cars in a custom, matching, enclosed Kentucky trailer throughout the USA.

In search of a used 25k non steerable pusher axle in decent condition. Will not accept worn out trailing arms. Sourcing used before we buy new.
We will ship from you to us via motor freight, so distance is not an issue.

I am still on an active search for this interior. I restored this truck back in 2012 with the help of Henry, and currently have another truck in the shop needing this exact interior.
The only difference is, passenger door has no peep window! Also if have some pieces to a 48 unibilt standup, I'd be interested in those also.

American class red and grey, '93 - 2000 flat cab, 48 standup.

J Ferrell Custom Trucks LLC air ride was one of the key components on our recent ground up restoration. Owner of truck was so pleased with the ride, he actually said, " I am so impressed with the ride and handling, this Pete rides better than my new AT4 pickup!" Now that was pure music to my ears.
