I’d like to give a HUGE shoutout to my incredible crew after one absolutely crazy Fourth of July weekend!

Friday started at Sara Park Craft Show where the food truck was serving up prime rib sandwiches, gyros, and Better Than Fair Curds while Bill’s Lemonade Stand was keeping everyone cool. Holding down the fort were Alex, Tanya, Braxton, and Taylor.

Then it was time to pack everything up and head straight to the Merrill fireworks where Emily, Taylor, Tanya, and Marianne jumped in to help sling curds to another big crowd.

After a few hours of sleep (and I mean a FEW), we were back at it again in Tomahawk for the parade and festivities. The food truck was rolling, the lemonade stand was flowing, and the crew of Emily, Taylor, Tanya, Alex, Braxton, and Pam got the job done like the pros they are.

As many of you know, I’ve had to step back quite a bit lately, and weekends like this remind me just how lucky I am. This crew doesn’t wait around for instructions—they see what needs to be done and they make it happen. They worked hard, stayed positive, and represented our business better than I ever could.

In fact, the only time I had to yell at anyone all weekend was when Braxton was supposed to be working but was busy admiring every firecracker he saw wandering the streets of Tomahawk. Some things never change.

Thank you, I couldn’t do this without you, and I’m proud to have every one of you on my team.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

We will be closed Friday July 3rd til Friday July 17th.

We’ve been keeping a secret for quite a while now, and honestly, it’s been hard not to let it slip.

As many of you know, Lee and Diane from Schult’s Country Inn served the community for an incredible 50 years and officially closed their doors last Friday. They told everyone they were retiring…

Well, that wasn’t exactly the whole story.

The REAL reason they closed Schult’s is because they’ve been secretly preparing for their next adventure: taking over Ed & Sharon’s Restaurant!

That’s right. After 50 years in the restaurant business, Lee and Diane looked at retirement and said, “Absolutely not.”

In fact, even though they’ll both turn 80 this year, they informed me they still have a good 40 years left in them and wanted one more challenge before slowing down.

So we’ll be CLOSED for the next two weeks while Lee and Diane transform the place and prepare for the grand reopening of:

🏆 LEE & DIANE’S FULL-THROTTLE SENIOR ACTIVITY CENTER, & FIGHT ARENA 🏆

The remodeling plans are already underway.

The bar stools are being replaced with deluxe recliners.

The jukebox is being removed and replaced with hearing aid charging stations.

A brand-new medication parking area is being installed next to the front door.

The dining room is being expanded to accommodate:

🥊 MMA Senior Citizen Fight Night every Friday

Full-Contact Bingo every Sunday

🏎️ Mobility Scooter Drag Racing

🦴 Early Bird Happy Hour from 5:00 AM to 6:00 AM

As for me, Bill, I’ve been informed that my services are no longer needed. Lee and Diane have generously offered me a retirement package consisting of a cases of Jim beam rye, and a case of tartar sauce , and strict instructions to stay out of their way.

So for the next two weeks I’ll be adjusting to retirement while the new owners put the finishing touches on their vision.

Lee and Diane will see you soon for the grand reopening. Only food availability will be Lee’s famous German potato salad.

“Some people retire at 80. Lee and Diane are just getting warmed up.”

Also if you believe this it’s mandatory to send me 10.00 to my Venmo account.

🤡🌊 CLOSED TODAY Saturday June 27th: MARK HAS BEEN CALLED OUT OF RETIREMENT 🌊🤡

Well folks, we've just learned something about Mark that absolutely nobody knew.

Not Sally.Not the staff.Not even Mark's cows.

Apparently, Mark is the last professional water-skiing clown left in America.

Late last night, he received an emergency phone call from the legendary Tommy Bartlett's Water Ski Show. After days of searching, they discovered that the one person capable of skiing backwards, juggling rubber chickens, honking a bicycle horn, and making an entire crowd laugh while being dragged across a lake at 40 mph was none other than our bartender, Mark.

According to sources, Mark was once a world-famous water-skiing clown in the 1980s before leaving the spotlight to pursue his true passion: pouring drinks and confusing people with Amish stories.

The show is doing a ONE NIGHT ONLY reunion performance for charity , and they desperately needed their star performer back.

Even Sally was shocked.

Her exact words were:

"Wait... Mark can swim?"

So today, Mark is dusting off the clown shoes, waxing the skis, and preparing for one final performance under the bright lights.

Because of this unexpected national emergency, we will be CLOSED TODAY.

We'll reopen as soon as Mark finishes saving the water-skiing clown industry and returns from what will undoubtedly be the greatest comeback in entertainment history.

Please keep him in your thoughts—and if you happen to see a clown skipping across Lake Delton behind a speedboat, give him a wave.

It's probably Mark.

🤠🐂 RODEO WEEKEND SHOUTOUT! 🐂🤠

I want to give a huge shoutout to my amazing crew that absolutely crushed it at the rodeo this weekend: Braxton, Alex, Tanya, Pam, Billy, Levi W, Levi L,Emily and Austin! Mark would have got a gold star too but he was still doing the Lords work.

To be completely transparent, I had almost zero involvement in any actual transactions. My crew handled everything like the professionals they are while I performed my very important duties of sitting in a chair, supervising with a bullhorn, and occasionally cracking an imaginary whip while yelling extremely helpful things like, “Move faster!” and “Stop looking at all them cowgirls Braxton!”

In all seriousness, these guys are 20 second bull riders. They worked hard, kept smiles on their faces, and represented our business in a way that makes me incredibly proud.

I couldn’t do any of this without them.

Great crews aren’t found… they’re built, and I’ve got one of the best.

The picture you see is when I told them they could have a 10 second break when it wasn’t busy.

🕶️🐴🤠 CLOSED FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY: THE MISSION HAS TAKEN AN UNEXPECTED TURN 🤠🐴🕶️

Well folks, we have an update on Mark and Sally.

As you know, they left earlier this week dressed as the Amish version of The Blues Brothers on a mission from God to save the orphanage. Everything was going according to plan… until they accidentally drove their horse and buggy straight into rodeo weekend.

Unfortunately, instead of heading home, Mark believes this is now part of the mission.

He was last seen walking around the rodeo grounds wearing sunglasses, pointing at random people and saying, “The Lord put us here for a reason.”

Nobody knows exactly what that reason is.

Sally is trying to keep him focused, but every time she turns around, Mark has another job. First he was parking horse and buggies, then helping cowboys polish belt buckles, then giving life advice to a bull named El Snorté.

At this point, even Sally has accepted that there is no schedule… only the mission.

So, Ed & Sharon’s will be CLOSED Friday, Saturday and Sunday while they finish whatever it is they’re doing.

🎉 WEEK 7 IS HERE! 🎉

At this point, Thursdays aren’t a day of the week anymore… they’re a tradition.

Join us downtown Merrill this Thursday from 11 to 1:30 at Carquest for all your favorites:

🥩 Hot beef, hot turkey, pulled pork & shaved prime rib

🥣 Meat bowls with mashed potatoes, corn & a dinner roll

🧀 Better Than Fair cheese curds

🥙 Gyros (while they last, because apparently you all took that challenge personally)

🍋 Bill’s Lemonade Stand of Merrill will be there with fresh-squeezed lemonade to keep summer alive one cup at a time.

Cancel your sad desk lunch and make Thursday the best part of your workday. 😄

🕶️🚔 ED & SHARON’S CLOSED TODAY : THEY’RE ON A MISSION FROM GOD 🚔🕶️

Folks, we regret to inform you that Ed & Sharon’s will be CLOSED today Saturday June 13th because Mark and Sally have embarked on a very important mission trip.

After Friday night, witnesses reported seeing Mark dressed as John Belushi and Sally dressed as Dan Aykroyd, climbing into an old black vehicle with a full tank of gas, half a pack of ci******es, sunglasses on, and absolutely no clear plan.

When asked where they were headed, Mark simply looked over his sunglasses and said:

“We’re on a mission from God.”

Rumor has it they’re traveling across the countryside trying to save a struggling orphanage, reunite the band, dodge angry nuns, and spread goodwill wherever the road takes them. Along the way they’ve reportedly been chased by state troopers, mistaken for traveling evangelists, and banned from at least one church potluck after Sally attempted to play harmonica during communion.

As always, Mark insists this is all perfectly normal.

So while Jake and Elwood—err, Mark and Sally—are out saving the world one mission at a time, we’ll be taking the day off. ( Not really we are catering the Corning Fire Dept Raffle)

We’ll reopen the following day, Sunday June 14th.

🎵 Everybody needs somebody to love… and apparently somebody to save the orphanage. 🎵

God bless, drive safe, and remember:

“We’re on a mission from God.” Mark reminded Sally as she wants to stop at a few casinos.😎🕶️🚔
