Wood Tic Weekend starts tomorrow at Merritt Speedway with Test & Tune and camp setup!

Thursday, July 23, is Test & Tune from 5–9 PM. Grandstand admission is free, and pit passes are $20.

Racing begins Friday, July 24, with heat races, qualifying, and dashes. The weekend continues Saturday with Kids Day, Autograph Night, feature races, and fireworks to close out the 38th Annual Wood Tic.

The Pro Stocks will be battling for $2,000 to win this weekend at Wood Tic! Who are you picking?

Nate Murphy has five wins at Merritt and four at Tri-City this season. Can he carry that momentum into Wood Tic? Katie Robinson is also having a strong season with two wins at Merritt and one at Tri-City. Teri Lynn Murphy and Larry Cade are tied for third in Merritt track points and will also be looking for the win.

Kids Day is this Saturday from 2–4 PM during Wood Tic Weekend!

There will be kids games, bounce houses, backpack giveaways, bike giveaways, and more. Every kid will also receive one free hot dog, popcorn, and snow cone!

As we get ready for the 38th Annual Wood Tic, we wanted to take a moment to share the history behind one of Merritt Speedway's biggest traditions.

In 1989, Ed VanDuinen founded the Wood Tic 100. A lifelong logger and founder of VanDuinen Forest Products in 1973, Ed created the event to recognize the logging industry and the many businesses that supported Merritt Speedway.

Alongside his wife, Carmen, he helped turn Wood Tic into more than just a race. It became a weekend filled with great racing, friendships, and memories that have lasted for generations.

Thirty-eight years later, Wood Tic continues to honor those roots while carrying on a tradition that has become one of Merritt Speedway's premier events. We look forward to welcoming everyone back this weekend as we celebrate the 38th Annual Wood Tic and continue a tradition that has meant so much to the speedway for nearly four decades.
