Seized caliper, better to just buy new?

Bottom sliding pin on the caliper bracket or whatever is seized and rusted, I've been at it for hours , I think I'm going to buy new ,or I don't know? The bolt was almost rounded before I even started so I knew I had it rough, I pulled back the rubber pin and i realized completely rusted inside and seized I use a vise grips to try to turn it and then I put my view grips on the hex bolt or whatever that's by the rubber bushing to hold it in place and then used a ratchet to turn the bolt, I used lots of penetrating fluid and hammered it a bunch of times. Lost cause? ( One thing I'm curious about is that the Carfax said they did brake service right before they sold me the car, how can it be that bad that fast? Also the car had bad alternator power steering pump and thermostat which they failed to mention any of those. 2012 Honda accord lx 2.4l 111k miles. My older brother used to work on this for hours ,isnt it better to just buy new and maintain that well)

Cracks in breaks?

My 2014 Ford expedition went in for an inspection and I had asked em to check the breaks cause if they're covered under the warranty and are bad to replace them. Girlfriend called and told me that they said the breaks are fine, there's no cracks in them or anything like that. They measured at an 8. I'm newerish to working on my own vehicle so l'm a little confused here. If it's not cracks then what is it?

Rear driveshaft stuck?

2016 Audi a5 b8.5 I’ve been trying to separate the end of my driveshaft from the differential for 2 days and no matter what I do or use it just won’t separate. I’ve removed all the bolts and even tried hammering them when they’re in to break the seal but have had no luck. I’ve also hammered a pry bar directly over the seal and used penetrating oil but it hasn’t budged. Any ideas as to what I need to do?
