After more than 700,000 km on Colombian roads, this 1981 FJ40 is ready for its next adventure — in Spain! 🇨🇴🇪🇸
With most of its original sheet metal intact and a fully documented history from new, this Land Cruiser was the perfect candidate for preservation rather than a full restoration.
We’ve carefully reconditioned or renewed every critical drivetrain component, preparing this remarkable 40 for another million kilometers!
We also took the liberty of adding a few modern comforts, while keeping its original character very much intact: FJ Company A/C with Vintage Air components, a Focal sound system with a retro-style Pioneer Bluetooth head unit, FJ Company Advanced Power Steering, a new Toyota 5-speed transmission, cleverly disguised Old Man Emu suspension, FJ Company Expedition alloy wheels designed to resemble the original Toyota steel wheels, heated seats, and our FJCO center console.
And one detail we particularly love: we preserved and restored its original Virgen del Carmen — Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the patron saint of drivers and transport workers in Colombia. She’s been watching over this Land Cruiser for decades, and she’ll continue to do so on the roads of Spain.
Safe travels, old friend. Here’s to the next million kilometers! focalcaraudio
