Gravity, Drama, and Downhill Glory: The P1 Sim Racing Slow Mo Showdown Lights Up Fall Fest!
The roar of the crowd, the click of the start gate, and pure downhill adrenaline took center stage on Saturday, September 26, 2026, as the Charm City Collector’s Club hosted its action-packed Fall Fest. The spotlight event of the gathering was Race #9 of the prestigious 2026 OnSite Computers Charm City Cup Diecast Racing Series: The P1 Sim Racing Slow Mo Showdown!
With 359 racers locked and loaded through check-in, and a staggering 234 races contested down the 4-lane C-Maxx Raceway, the paddock was electric from the moment inspection opened. Forty-four registered race teams came prepared for battle, navigating one of the most grueling, got to be slow to win, competitive downhill brackets on the C4 DRL calendar.
High Stakes and Heartbreakers: Eliminators & Brackets
From the drop of the first flag by Race Starter James Goolsbee Jr., every split-second counted. Single elimination meant zero room for error.
The early rounds of racing set the tempo:
• The Breakfast Club Cats First Round Fast Pass: Right out of the gate in the Race-In qualifiers, Dragoon Racing’s -50 Scania Rally Truck shocked the paddock by clocking the outright lowest single-run elapsed time of the entire event at an eye-popping 2.4960 seconds. Dragoon took home the official Breakfast Club Cats First Round Fast Pass Award.
• The 1/64 Collectibles Young Gun Shooting Star: Speedy Racing turned heads all afternoon behind young team owner Pierson Parrish, whose #174 Tooned Volkswagen Golf MK1 carved up the brackets with deep elimination runs all the way to a 9th place overall finish, earning the coveted Young Gun Shooting Star Award!
• High-Octane Drama: Not everyone escaped the track unscathed. Heavy hitters and fan favorites hit heartbreak lane when Krazy Kat Lady’s #86 Worsham Funny Car and Sarah’s Jungle Racing’s #42 Turbo Wheels got caught in DNFs after highly competitive runs, blowing the bracket wide open.
The Final Four Round-Robin: A Legend Built in Race After Race
When the dust settled through five rounds of knockouts and the placement semifinals, four machines stood tall to battle in the top-bracket 4-lane Round-Robin Finals:
1. #188 Surfin School Bus – A-A-Ron (Aaron Hartlove)
2. #128 White Police – Moo Cow Horse Farm Motorsports (Christopher Green)
3. #22 Weiner Mobile – Pirates Cove Racing (Tony Dunning)
4. #237 Samurai Racer – Blind Dog Racing (Dave Jones)
Each racer had to run in every lane once to determine the podium.
Tony Dunning’s #22 Weiner Mobile drew first blood in Heat 1 of the finals, laying down a 3.4493s run to steal the opening win. But Aaron Hartlove and Team A-A-Ron had other plans.
Lining up the wild #188 Surfin School Bus, Hartlove caught fire in Heats 2, 3, and 4. The two tone blue and white bus trudged through the timing traps in every lane, taking back-to-back-to-back victories with times of 3.4692s, 3.3576s, and 3.3818s!
When the points were tallied, the Surfin School Bus stood alone atop the mountain, bagging 10 wins on 11 runs and 37 total final round points to claim the undisputed championship of the P1 Sim Racing Slow Mo Showdown!
