I know what you're thinking: here's Jason again talking about uniside refinishes. You know why? It needs to be addressed, and often. Uniside refinishes need to be done for a repair that will be durable and able to be guaranteed, but insurance companies don't want to pay for it. They will tell you that if you had gone to their "preferred shop" that this wouldn't be an issue. You know why? Because their "preferred shops" won't do it. They are there to please the insurance companies, not the customer. Oh, and do you see the backside of that fender? That is the color of the manufacturers primer. Maple Park Collision paints the backsides of new parts and allows the exterior color to over spray to the backside, just like the factory. The insurance companies "preferred shops" won't do this, they will leave it black, which is a tell tale sign that the fender was replaced. Trust Maple Park Collision to do it right!

Due to the heat and humidity, we will be closing at 3:30 today and tomorrow. Also, we will be closed on Friday, July 3, for the Independence Day weekend. We should return to normal business hours on July 6.

This is the type of stuff we deal with almost daily from insurance companies. I give them invoices. I give them pictures. I incur expenses. But THEY get to decide how much they are paying? Complete lunacy and it should be illegal, but the insurance lobby has paid off almost every politician out there. We are not set up as a non-profit, but the insurance companies are trying to make it that way.

Just know what you are getting into if you have State Farm. Slow pay, cutting estimates, and they try very hard to steer you to one of their "preferred" shops. Those shops aren't better, they will just do whatever State Farm tells them to do. Trust Maple Park Collision to do it right!

A potential customer had damage to their vehicle a year or so ago. We were contacted and after having a conversation with them and telling them that their insurance company (Allstate) may not pay to fix their car properly and they may have out of pocket expense, they decided to go to where the insurance company suggested where they would have no out of pocket expense and they would fix it Allstate's way. Well, now they have bodywork cracking and it appears rust is forming under the filler. Out of pocket expenses can be recouped most of the time by turning it into the insurance company. If you take the path of least resistance, you will get lower quality repairs. Trust Maple Park Collision to do it right!

How it is supposed to be painted vs. how the insurance companies want them painted. On most cars, the quarter panel is one continuous panel that makes up the aperture panel, or door opening area. Insurance companies say to back tape or "melt in" the clear coat into the jambs. But it is chemically impossible to "melt in" new paint into existing hardened paint. Some folks say we take it too far and that other shops don't clear coat the entire inside. We don't care what other shops do because we don't have to stand by their work. Yesterday, we were contacted by a company wanting to sell us an answering service using AI. They said that the AI service can answer customer questions and even do scheduling. Well, guess what? Our lovely Christina can do that as well! We feel that a personalized experience is far better than having some robot answer the phone. At many shops, phone calls go to voicemail. Voicemail doesn't get returned. Customer feels neglected. Not at Maple Park Collision. We will answer the phone and return your voicemail. At other shops, once you bring your car in you become a number and not a person. At Maple Park Collision, we will always refer to you by your name, even when you aren't here. You deserve to be treated as a person, not a commodity.
