"Our recent donation of our 2008 Honda Odyssey is bittersweet. We endearingly named her "Big Betty," and she has been a constant for our family. She helped us raise our four kids, provided countless trips to sports practices and the grocery store, aided in moving our kids in and out of college and to their new locations afterward, and was the work horse for most of our annual beach trips. She was truly special to us and will be dearly missed.

At the same time, we are so happy Big Betty is going to such a deserving organization. We chose to donate to the Special Olympics one of our daughters is a special education teacher and a college disability services coordinator. Our hope is that Betty provides meaningful financial support to your organization and your athletes. "🚗 ❤️

This 2006 Toyota Tacoma was donated through the Cars for Charity Program to support Deseret Industries, bringing an unforgettable beach adventure along with it.

While visiting Seaside Beach, Oregon, the donor’s husband and his brother took the Tacoma through a deep stretch of loose sand to escape the crowds. The truck handled it effortlessly, but eight other vehicles weren't so lucky. After watching the Tacoma make it across, they tried the same route and got stuck.
With its rear locking differential, the Tacoma became the unofficial beach-side recovery service, rescuing all eight vehicles one by one!

Now, this dependable truck is putting its next chapter toward a meaningful cause. ❤️🚗
