Think a metal roof is loud, hot, and overkill? That is three myths in one sentence.

A metal roof is built to last decades, not just years. It reflects the sun instead of soaking up the heat. And its seams shed rain and stand up to high wind.

Which one surprised you — the lifespan, the cooler house, or the storm toughness? Drop it in the comments.

Winter doesn't break things all at once. It finds the weak spot you ignored in October.

Soft deck boards, clogged gutters, and small cracks in your walks — all three get worse every time it freezes and thaws. A board that feels spongy now won't make it to spring. A gutter full of leaves sends water behind your siding. A hairline crack in concrete grows a little with every freeze.

None of it takes long to check. Walk your deck, look up at your gutters, and look down at your concrete before the cold settles in.

Which one are you checking first? If you find something you're not sure about, message us and we'll take a look. Brad's Custom Works, 870-321-8538.

If it stands outside your house, we've probably built one like it.

Decks and pergolas for long evenings outside. Metal roofing that's tough, clean, and built to last. Shops, remodels, and new builds too — all from one local crew.

What's the project you've been putting off? Message us or call Brad's Custom Works at 870-321-8538 and let's talk about it.

Rot hides where you don't look. That bottom rail on a window sash can look fine from across the room — push on it, and if the wood is soft or crumbly, rot is already in. Water gets behind the trim and eats the frame from the inside out, and by the time you feel the draft, it's been going for a while.

Before winter sets in, push the bottom rail and feel around the frame for cold air. Catching it now beats replacing the whole unit later.

When's the last time you checked your windows? If one's soft or drafty, message us and we'll take a look. Brad's Custom Works, 870-321-8538.

A tree fell on this roof. This is what we did about it. 🌳

Homeowner woke up to the ridge peeled back and panels creased across the whole slope. We handled the insurance side and put on a full new brown metal roof — good for decades.

Is your roof storm-ready? If a tree's got your number, call us before the next big wind.

🍂 Fall is roof-check season.

Before winter hits, walk your property and look for these three things — five minutes now can save you a massive headache later. (Swipe through 👉)

When's the last time someone actually looked at your roof? If you can't remember, that's your answer. 😄

🔨 The before-and-after that almost didn't happen.

This wall was holding up the entire peak of the house — and the first floor beneath it. Years of water getting in through improper flashing had rotted the framing from the inside out, and nobody knew until we opened it up.

We caught it before a major failure. Tore out the rot, rebuilt the wall with new framing, flashed it properly so it can't happen again — and finished it off with a brand-new deck built to last.

Our customers were relieved. Honestly, so were we. This is exactly why we do what we do.

If your home has water stains, soft spots, or siding that just doesn't look right — don't wait until it fails. Message us and we'll take a look.
