🔧 Another Model A Back on the Road at Tebo’s Barn LLC! 🚗
This 1931 Ford Model A Deluxe Delivery came into the shop barely running. When started, fuel was spitting back out through the carburetor intake, and the engine would hardly run at all.
We started with a compression test, which checked out fine. That led us to investigate the exhaust system, where we discovered something you don’t see every day! Believe it or not, a small mouse nest had been packed tightly into the tailpipe, restricting the exhaust flow. 🐭
Once we removed the nest, the engine ran like a charm!
While the vehicle was here, we also inspected the timing gear and found several broken teeth. We replaced the damaged gear, checked all the fluids, and gave everything a once-over to make sure this old Ford was ready to head back home.
Sometimes, getting an old automobile running properly takes a little detective work — and occasionally, a mouse nest is the culprit!
Consider covering your tailpipes when putting cars away for the winter!
