Our Complete OBD1 ECU packages are BACK IN STOCK!

After briefly running out of usable ECU cores, we've finally restocked! With this restock comes a small $50 price increase on our complete ECUs, and we wanted to explain why.

We've worked hard to keep our prices the same over the years, despite the cost of consumables nearly doubling, usable ECU cores becoming harder to find (and much more expensive), and us continuously improving our refurbishment process.

We've also added things like sandblasted and refinished cases, custom 3D printed replacement lids, and more thorough refurbishment procedures, all without increasing our prices.

This $50 adjustment simply helps offset those rising costs and improvements. Our goal remains the same: provide the highest quality refurbished Honda ECUs we can while keeping them affordable.

“It just needs an IC17 chip bro” 😬

This is a perfect example of why you shouldn’t throw parts at an ECU because someone guessed what’s wrong with it.

This ECU came in with all of its original 30+ year old capacitors still installed. They’ve been leaking for quite some time, causing significant corrosion damage throughout the IC17 area.
At some point, someone decided IC17 must be the problem and installed a new chip right on top of the existing damage, while the actual problem was completely ignored.

Replacing a component doesn’t repair the damage left by the original parts. Proper ECU repair starts with finding out why it failed in the first place, assessing the extent of the damage, and repairing the board correctly, not firing the parts cannon at it.

Don’t guess, get it diagnosed.

Priority queue skip is now available.

Over the years, we’ve had countless customers ask if they could pay extra to move their ECU to the front of the queue. We’ve always declined because we didn’t feel it was fair to everyone already waiting their turn.

Recently, we asked you guys how you’d feel about us offering a queue skip option. The feedback was very positive, with two important conditions: it shouldn’t slow down the normal queue, and it should be priced high enough that it’s only used when genuinely necessary.

The queue skip is intended primarily for customers who daily drive their vehicle and simply cannot afford to have it down for weeks. Priority ECUs will move to the front when they arrive, but they will NOT interfere with or slow down our normal service queue. These ECUs will be handled exclusively by our additional technician while work on the main queue continues as normal.

And yes, the price is intentionally high. We actually want to discourage people from purchasing this. Ideally, it’s something we rarely see ordered and remains available for the customers who truly need to get their vehicle back on the road as quickly as possible.

As always, we appreciate everyone who gave us feedback and helped us figure out a fair way to offer this.

We’re back to work!

Starting off by assembling IC17 chips and getting all pending orders packed up and shipped out. We’ll be resuming the ECU repair queue today and tomorrow, and everything should be running smoothly again by the end of the week.

I wasn’t planning to address this publicly, but since a recent post is very clearly referring to OxyTuned, I had to take a quick break from moving into our new office to provide some much needed context.

These ECUs were not customer repairs. I was randomly offered 14 junk/parts ECUs with no agreement, expectation, or deadline to repair and return them. They were sent while the individual was fully aware that our repair queue was already extremely busy.

Months later, I was asked to return them. I immediately returned everything that had remained together and explained that some had apparently become mixed in with my own collection of 100+ parts boards. I offered to immediately replace anything missing with my own parts ECUs, but was told that wasn't necessary and that waiting until after our upcoming move to locate the originals was perfectly fine.

That conversation happened before this post was made.

So the implication that OxyTuned accepted a batch of ECUs for repair, threw them on a shelf, forgot about them for months, lost half of them, and returned incomplete customer property is simply not an accurate representation of what happened.

I’m not interested in turning this into industry drama, and I have no intention of going back and forth over it. Our work and countless customer reviews over the years speak for themselves.

Since I had to stop what I was doing to address this stupid situation anyway, here’s a sneak peek at the new OxyTuned office.
We have much bigger and better things to focus on. ❤️
