We'd like to thank all of our customers for their continued support and patience while we work through our ECU repair queue.

Due to a large influx of ECUs being sent in recently, turnaround times are currently longer than normal. At this time, customers should expect repairs to take approximately 20-30 days after the ECU has been received by us.

We're working hard to get every ECU completed and returned as quickly as possible without compromising quality. Thank you for your understanding and support!

Another victim of the “cheap” Facebook Marketplace Hondata 😬

“We found one way cheaper than yours.”

This is exactly why we’re always cautious about secondhand ECUs.

This one came in after a failed DIY Hondata S300v3 install on a board that already had capacitor corrosion damage. What looked like a deal ended up being a pile of junk that now needs even more money put into it.

This isn't a rare occurrence here, we see this all the time. Damaged boards, poor soldering, hidden corrosion, and unfinished installs being sold off as “good deals.”

Sometimes the cheapest option is the most expensive one.

Some shops measure success by how many units they can push out in a day, we measure it by how much time we’re willing to invest into doing it right.

Every ECU that comes across our bench gets the attention it actually needs, not just parts thrown at it, not shortcuts, and not covering up underlying damage. Proper board repair, quality components, and thorough inspection aren’t optional here, they’re the standard.

Designed to fit standard USDM OBD1 ECU cases and ready for use with emulator boards using standoffs. These solve the all too common issue of corroded, dented, or missing factory covers.

When you can load up the parts cannon, but can’t aim it… 🎯

This ECU came in after being “repaired” elsewhere, capacitors popped & swapped onto a damaged board with no proper treatment, multiple transistor arrays replaced and installed in the wrong locations.

Throwing parts at a symptom isn’t diagnosis, it’s guesswork.

At OxyTuned, every unit is properly diagnosed before any components are replaced. We fix root causes, not just what might be bad. Components go where they belong, boards are treated correctly, and if a board is beyond saving, we don’t send it back pretending it’s good.

There’s a right way to do this, and then there’s this.

Just because someone can tune a car on a dyno doesn’t mean they’re qualified to repair circuit boards.

This ECU came to us after another well-known company “repaired” it by replacing the capacitors, but the heavy corrosion on the board was never addressed. They simply installed new parts over obvious damage.

Once we removed the components and properly cleaned the area, the problem was easily visible. The corrosion had completely eaten through a trace.

ECU repair isn’t just swapping parts. It requires proper board-level diagnostics and restoration. These are two very different specialties.

When it comes to sensitive circuit board repairs, make sure you’re trusting a company that actually understands electronics, not just tuning.
