Tomorrow’s the day. 👀🌊

The Lewis family’s 280W Python with a Mercury Racing 600 is finally headed to the water for its first official test… and we’ve got one question:

What’s your top speed prediction?

Drop your guess in the comments below. ⬇️

Closest guess earns nothing but bragging rights… and we’ll definitely remember who called it. 😏

We can’t promise whistlin’ bungholes or cherry bombs…

But we can promise beach days, speed runs, dock hangs, sunset cruises, and enough memories to last until next summer.

Have a safe, fun, and unforgettable Fourth of July weekend! 🇺🇸🚤💥

The Founding Fathers probably would’ve taken Friday off too…

Who are we to argue?

Our crew will be celebrating America the way it was intended—with family, friends, and hopefully a full tank of gas.

We’ll be back Monday. 🇺🇸🚤

This Week at Cobra 🐍
Take a behind-the-scenes look at what’s happening in the shop as this week’s builds continue moving through production.

Lewis Family | 280W Python

The Lewis family’s 280W Python is officially fully capped and powered by a Mercury 600. If everything stays on schedule, this one should be on the water for testing within the next two weeks.

Did you know?
The capping process alone adds roughly two weeks to the build. While it may not seem like much from the outside, it’s one of the most labor-intensive stages in the entire construction process.

Day Family | 280W Venom OB

The Day family’s 280W Venom OB has entered one of the most exciting phases of the build—interior installation.

Our upholstery team is busy building and fitting the custom interior, turning a fiberglass shell into a boat that’s uniquely theirs.

Jenkins Family | 270 Razor

This 270 Razor is getting a complete second chance.

What started as severe dry rot and black mold hidden beneath the flooring has turned into a full restoration. The boat is receiving new bucket seats, custom upholstery, flooring, carpet, extensive gel coat repairs, relocated navigation lights, and countless hours of craftsmanship to bring it back better than ever.

Sometimes restoring a Cobra is just as rewarding as building a new one.

Armenta Family | 260W Venom IO

The Armenta family’s 260W Venom IO is currently in the capping stage while the team also works on the flooring for the walk-off option. Finished in light gray with black and red pin graphics, this one is going to be a beauty.

What exactly is capping?
It’s the process of permanently joining the deck and hull together using fiberglass. Once bonded, the real work begins with sanding, priming, painting, and blending until the seam completely disappears.

Schultz Family | 280W Venom OB

The Schultz family’s 280W Venom OB is nearing the end of the capping process and should be heading into rigging soon.

Why not just cover the seam with trim?
Because that’s not how we build Cobras.

Instead of hiding where the deck and hull meet, our team hand-finishes the entire joint until it looks like the boat was molded as one continuous piece.
