Behind the scenes: color matching.
Some colors are more difficult to match than others. This particular one took 6 spray out cards.
That means 6 times to meticulously observe the metallics, depth of color and texture under different lights at different angles. It means 6 times to mix and spray the color and clear coat on a sample card, then document each adjustment made on each sample card.
All of this work is done before the car is ever pulled into the paint booth, and it is worth the time! Each one of our techs takes special care to achieve the best results possible because we want the best color match possible.
