So 3ed place may not be a win. However, when your first two races in 2025 you knew nothing but rail of field. After two practice sessions one at Doublin (hit wall at lap 23 of 25 simulated feature) one at Modoc, (blew 602 motor unkown reason still only 150laps ) a 3ed is a win (only 9 cars but still). He earned all the places he gained starting in the back and with a car that was "easy to drive" Kevin Anderson said. Made ground on competition, clean passes, showed good patience. I cannot stress how important practice is this is a good example why. I've had many guys I took for the races we were lucky to load it in a box in one piece or have at least the top 10 finish. No it wasn't a stack field but you're talking the level of experience less than the majority of the competition. The guy thought he won the world 100 lol but I love to see somebody grow as a driver and a team. It was a well deserved third place.

Tire prices and their dwindling performance and failures is getting out of hand.

Here's a breakdown:
Manufacturer Net Profit Margin Business Model

Pirelli ~9.2% High-Value/Premium: Like Hoosier, they focus on high-margin racing (F1) and luxury cars rather than budget tires.

Michelin ~8% – 9% Specialty/Premium: They maintain margins through high-end passenger tires and specialized sectors like mining and aircraft.

Bridgestone ~6% – 7% Balanced: Large-scale volume with a strong push into high-margin "solutions" and heavy equipment tires.

Goodyear ~1% – 2.5% Volume/Mass Market: Currently in a "transformation" phase to fix lower margins caused by high overhead and mass-market competition.

Hoosier (Est.) 8% – 12% Pure Specialty: High margin
per unit, but very low total volume compared to the giants.
