Paint chip repair is all about realistic expectations.
Up close, you may still be able to find where a chip once was. But step back to a normal viewing distance, and that’s where a properly completed repair should start to disappear into the overall finish.
The goal isn’t to pretend the damage never happened—it’s to protect the exposed area, improve the appearance, and make those imperfections much less noticeable in everyday use.
These photos show exactly why viewing distance matters.
Close-up before.
Close-up after.
Then the same area from roughly 5 feet away.
That’s the kind of improvement we’re looking for with a proper paint chip repair.
