Thursday can still work. We just need to get you on the schedule first.

🍂 We Need to Settle a Fall Food Debate…

Now that we're getting deeper into fall here in Michigan, it's time to talk about the important stuff.

When the weather starts getting colder, there's nothing quite like coming home to a good comfort meal.

But everybody has their own idea of what belongs at the top of the list.

So let's hear it…

🍲 A big bowl of homemade chili?
🥣 Soup and a grilled cheese?
🥩 A good pot roast with potatoes and carrots?
🍗 Homemade chicken and mashed potatoes?
🥧 Or are you skipping straight to apple pie and other fall desserts?

Personally, I think that the good comfort meal just hits different when it's cold outside.

So let's talk about it in the comments…

What is your favorite go to fall meal? What's that meal that hits the spot especially in the fall season.

And if you are feeling up to it, share the recipe!

Let's see what meals we love to cook up here around West Michigan. 👇

🧠 What Are You Feeding Your Mind?

I've been thinking about this one lately as I have had a lot on my mind the past couple months.

We spend a lot of time worrying about what we eat, how much we exercise, and what we need to do to take care of our bodies. And those things matter. They do.

But how much attention do we pay to what we're feeding our minds?

The conversations we have. The things we watch. The people we surround ourselves with. The thoughts we allow to keep running through our heads.

All of it has an impact.

I've been trying to be more intentional about the things I do with my time. The activities we do and how we spend our days directly impact how our weeks turn out. Being in the right state of mind, it's everything.

Believe me, I'm not saying it's easy. Because it isn't. But these days, I do believe what we put into our minds matters just as much as what we put into our bodies.

So here's something to think about this Wednesday:

Are the things you're feeding your mind helping you grow, or are they keeping you stuck? Is your circle of friends helping you grow, or are they keeping you complacent in your current situation?

Maybe it's time to change what we're listening to, what we're focusing on, or what we're giving our attention to.

I'd love to hear your thoughts. What's something that helps you keep your mind in a good place? Could be Scripture, reading, music, working out, getting outside, or talking with someone who pushes you to be better.

Let's learn from each other and help each other grow. We are only human, after all. 👊

☀️ The Monday Reset

A new week is here, and sometimes that's exactly what we need.

Maybe last week didn't go the way you planned. Maybe you've been putting something off, trying to get back into a routine, or just feeling like you need to get a few things together.

I've had enough weeks like that myself. One thing I'm learning is that you don't have to have everything figured out to take the next step. You just have to be willing to start.

I absolutely think its time for me to get back in the gym. Take care of that something I've been avoiding.

Whatever it is, we just need to start somewhere.

We can't change everything that happened last week, but we can decide what we do with the week in front of us.

What's one thing you're trying to get better at or get back on track with this week?

Doesn't have to be anything major. Sometimes the little changes make the biggest difference.

Let me know in the comments. Let's build each other up in a world that's constantly trying to put us down.

🌲🦌 Some of the Best Lessons Are Learned Outdoors 🦌🌲

With hunting season underway and fall settling in around West Michigan, it got me thinking about something.

Some of the best lessons in life don't come from a classroom, a book, or somebody giving you advice.

Sometimes they come from being outdoors with someone who's been doing it a lot longer than you have.

Maybe your Dad or Grandpa taught you how to hunt. Maybe somebody showed you how to fish, how to read the woods, or how to be patient when things aren't going your way. And sometimes, the lesson had nothing to do with hunting or fishing at all.

It was about respect. Patience. Being prepared. Paying attention. Or simply appreciating the time you get to spend with the people around you. Those are the things that stick with you long after the day is over.

Now we need to hear from the outdoorsmen and women around Muskegon…

🌲 What's one thing someone taught you outdoors that you've never forgotten? Was it something you learned hunting, fishing, camping, or just spending time in the woods? And who was the person who taught you?

Let's hear some stories in the comments. I'd love to see what lessons are being passed down around West Michigan. 👇
