⚓ Meet our newest crew member, Capt. Scott Hommerson! 🇺🇸

After 20 years serving in the U.S. Coast Guard as an Aviation Mechanical Technician, Scott traded his uniform for a Sea Tow shirt, but his passion for helping people came right along with him! 💛

Originally from Southern California, Scott’s Coast Guard career took him from San Diego to Kodiak, Alaska; Clearwater, Florida; Elizabeth City, North Carolina; and Oahu, Hawaii. When it came time to retire, his wife picked Naples, even though neither of them had ever been here!

Scott brings years of first responder experience, mechanical know-how, and problem-solving skills to Sea Tow Naples. In fact, he had his sights set on Sea Tow two years before retiring and earned the licenses he needed to make it happen.

“I loved the idea of still being able to help people outside of the USCG.”

When he’s not helping boaters, you’ll find Scott spending time with his wife or fishing. His favorite fishing memory? Catching marlin regularly while living in Hawaii! 🎣🌺

And his fun fact? He’s already retired… apparently, he just couldn’t stay off the water! 😂

🚤 Unwanted boat becoming a burden? Worried about the cost and hassle of disposal?

You may qualify for FREE removal and disposal!

Sea Tow Naples wants local boat owners to know about FWC’s Florida Vessel Turn-In Program (VTIP). This program helps eligible owners dispose of unwanted, at-risk boats before they become a bigger problem.

✅ ZERO cost to approved owners — removal, destruction and disposal are 100% covered.
✅ Move on from a boat you can no longer maintain.
✅ Take action before your boat becomes derelict and creates costly removal expenses or legal trouble.
✅ Help keep our local waterways safe and protect Florida’s marine environment.

To qualify, you must be the titled owner, the vessel must be free of liens or other ownership claims, and you must have received a written at-risk warning or citation. FWC reviews and approves applications.

⏳ Applications are handled first come, first served while funding remains available.
