This month's find at Nashville Cars n' Coffee is not a specific vehicle, rather it is a plea to save a racetrack.

For whatever reason, a set of politicians continues to vilify motorsports. I would love to introduce them to my world and meet my people.

Motorsports is community. Motorsports is creativity. It is problem solving. It is a competition. It is adrenaline. It is joy. It is opportunity. It creates jobs. It is engineering. It is overcoming. It is teamwork. It is emotional investment. It is learning to overcome. It is community.

It's official, Vivian the Vivio will be in the RHD Gallery at ImportAlliance for the July event in Nashville!!! We missed last year and I cannot even remember what hissy fit she was throwing, but this year she has been solid and we are ready to spend the weekend talking about Vivio!!!

I am just awful at snagging before photos so all I got is the after. Removed and painted wiper arms. Removed and cleaned and painted the cowl pieces. Removed, cleaned, siliconed, and then replaced the seal on the weatherstripping for the cowl pieces.
It is actually quite stunning and makes the car look so much cleaner. Note to self: take before photos dang it!

Did you know that is a daily driver, 8+ hour travel to visit family-er, in addition to living her best life as a RallyCrosser? And I am not the only one who has a car that drives to events, competes, and drives home.

You don't need a built car to do grassroots motorsports
Do not allow a build to keep you from participating
You don't need a truck and trailer to do grassroots motorsports
You just need a car

You don't need a built car to do grassroots motorsports. drove about 250 miles, competed in a 2-day RallyCross event, and then drove 250 miles back home.

Built cars are pretty dang nifty and I appreciate and value the time and care that it takes. But. A build should not be a barrier to participating. This stock 1998 Subaru Legacy GT brings out the smiles per miles.

Motorsports is more than the motor, it is community and pushing your driving limits while learning in a safe environment.

Come out and play in the dirt!

Finished both days of the Great Lakes Divisional Challenge at the and now me and are relaxing before heading back to Nashville, TN tomorrow.

It was a great weekend filled with racing, course changes, frustration, loose surface joy, and the gift of new friends and connections.
