This carburetor was full of sludge when it came into the shop this week. Because of my experience, I knew just what was necessary to clean it. I knew which passages to clear, what needed soaked, and how to make the gaskets to put it all back together. You know what's coming next. The carburetor didn't clean itself before it came in.

Are you full of sludge? Do you think you can clean yourself up? Maybe you can a little, but only God can get you operating as you were originally intended. You have to let Him. Take yourself into His workshop and give Him the time it takes to fix you properly.

Sometimes, things wear out. This leaf blower had great spark and the right amount of fuel. Unfortunately, it only had about half the compression required to run an engine, and this particular repair would have cost more than a new unit. Life is like that sometimes, but now the owner knows for sure and can dispose of it properly.

The Rukus pulled this mouse nest out of a snow blower this week. Can you imagine building yourself a home like this just to have some big knucklehead take a cover off and pull it all apart?

Matthew chapter 6 tells us, "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

So many times I've compared myself to others who had more and wondered why I wasn't being blessed like they were. It took me a while to realize that I had things that they didn't. I just wasn't recognizing those things as a gift from God.

The truth is that every situation can be used by God for our benefit, IF WE CHOOSE TO BE ONE OF HIS CHILDREN.

Make that choice today and start investing what He gave you back into His Kingdom.
