Eldora Speedway remembers Albert Woodard, a four-time track champion and longtime local favorite, who passed away this week at the age of 81.

A native of nearby Union City, Al was a familiar face in Victory Lane, capturing two Stock Car and two Late Model track championships, along with more than 50 Eldora feature wins. His impressive racing career also included a starting appearance in the prestigious World 100.

His success continued beyond the driver's seat, earning additional championships as a car owner alongside his son, Earnie.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Woodard family and all who knew Al. 🏁
