I heard you just bought a Ferrari FX…

Here are the three things you need to know.

In a nutshell:
1) It doesn’t officially exist
2) Its transmission was the first of its kind
3) Its framework is actually something familiar

This FX is currently on display at the Marconi Automotive Museum (Marconi Automotive Museum)

The car that taught Lamborghini how to print money 💸

You get an instrument cluster that calculates g-force. Angular intakes and ultra sharp lines. A matte grey color that looks like stealth coating. And Alcantara seats the same green as flight suits.

If it wasn’t already obvious, the Lamborghini Reventon is a tribute to the F-22 Raptor, and it was revealed in 2007 as a Murcielago-based few-off, powered by the same 6.5 liter V12. The exterior design is entirely different, penned by the legendary Filippo Perini, but underneath the bodywork it’s an LP-640, putting out only ten extra horsepower.

The biggest difference between the two is probably the price tag: while the Murcielago retailed for $350,000, the Reventon had a base price of $1,500,000, all while essentially being mechanically identical. It was Lamborghini’s first entry into their few-off program, which now includes cars like the Aventador-based Veneno.

If you can use existing architecture to make a car that costs more, you’ve pretty much cracked the code to unlimited extra cash.

Thank you to Concours Collection Storage for letting me film with this example!

A clear future classic from BMW.

When I was in Los Angeles, I was given the keys to a 2026 BMW M2 CS, and over the five days I had the car I learned a lot about how it behaves, from sitting in traffic to ripping the canyons.

Fun is an understatement. It’s in a league of its own, and offers an experience that you really can’t find in another car. But is it worth the premium over a standard M2?

Classic car ownership just got a lot more clear.

I recently imported an older German SUV from Japan, and it’s thrown me into the deep end of classic car ownership, with registration, inspection, service, and small repairs all at the top of my mind. It’s getting a bit overwhelming, so I decided to try out Muse, the new app from Meta, and it’s actually made a significant difference.

My Muse keeps me on top of this project while also integrating into apps I use daily. It’s personalized to my situation and never forgets core information, so the more I use it, the better it understands the needs of myself and my car!

I honestly recommend you check it out — it might be the key to better managing your projects.

Anything is possible when you’re a Bruneian prince — even a Ferrari with a four speed auto.

This is a Ferrari 456 GT Venice Cabriolet, and it’s one of seven built for Prince Jefri Bolkiah, but only this example managed to escape Brunei, and because of that I can show you what makes it so special.

It’s based on the Ferrari 456 GT, but obviously, it’s a convertible, which wasn’t offered from factory. The rear seats were removed to make room for the roof, which was sourced from the R129 Mercedes SL, and the factory six speed manual transaxle was replaced by a Mercedes four speed auto. The interior is coated in Connolly leather, with seats taken straight from a BMW 8 Series, and forget green over tan, it’s green over green.

Now, the Venice project is pretty contentious, because none of its variants, which also include a four door saloon and a station wagon, were every officially Ferrari acknowledged, but what makes the spider especially so is the way it looks. The 456 rear was fully redesigned, with a back that’s reminiscent of the Fiat Barchetta.

It’s a very rare look into Brunei’s royal collection, and it’s currently on display at the Marconi Automotive Museum.

A race car that’s registrable in all 50 states?

When I was at Audrain Concours & Motor Week in Newport, Rhode Island, I had a moment to catch up with Lukas Czinger (Lukas Czinger), CEO of Czinger Vehicles. We chatted a bit about the 21C, and it’s clear that the car is a road legal spaceship.

Had to leave NYC for some cheaper gas…

Been driving the G 500 here and there for a couple of weeks so it’s finally time for its first real fill up. A 20 gallon tank that only takes premium fuel is bound to be expensive… but honestly not as expensive as I thought!

How is a car like this road legal?

I stopped by in Los Angeles to check out the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento they have on site: one of around ten ever produced, and one of only two that’s certified for the street.

In 2011, this car was impossible. Loosely based on the Lamborghini Gallardo, it’s imbued with technology from the aerospace industry, and it was the first car to feature forged carbon fiber, which you can see absolutely everywhere. The interior is just a padded carbon tub, with no dashboard or digital aids. The exterior components are all carbon too, down to the exhaust tips and the wheels. Even the suspension is constructed from carbon, so the Sesto Elemento weighs just under one tonne, making it lighter than a Mazda Miata.

All of them were built for track use only, but in England offers a road legal conversion, and this one had the work done. With that, you get an AC system, a front axle lift, indicators, license plate brackets — it isn’t much, but it makes it registrable, and there’s definitely allure to having a road legal race car.

The Sesto Elemento was one of my childhood superheroes, and fifteen years later, it’s just as exciting.
