Continental Tire has named Ashok Vedanayagam Head of Commercial Specialty Tires Americas, putting him in charge of the company's Earthmoving, Material Handling and Port Operations tire businesses across North and South America. Vedanayagam brings more than two decades of international sales and marketing experience and has held leadership roles in Continental's Commercial Truck Tire and Passenger and Light Truck Tire businesses.

Toyo Tires will bring its Treadpass exhibit back to the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nov. 3-6, with 27 custom vehicles making their world debuts in the activation's 13th year. Set between the Central and South Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center, this year's Treadpass also features a life-size die-cast toy box and limited-edition Leen Customs pins.

Bridgestone has created a new President, Canada role and named Jacques Fourie to lead its Canadian business from the Mississauga, Ontario office.

Fourie joins from Bridgestone's Africa Middle East region, which he led from Dubai. The in-country role is designed to speed up decision-making and keep Bridgestone closer to Canadian customers.

Priority Tire has been ranked No. 1 in the Cars, Motorcycles, & Boats category of Newsweek's America's Best Online Shops 2027, compiled with research firm Statista. The Jacksonville, Florida-based online tire retailer scored 8.48, up from 7.23 and a 37th-place finish in last year's ranking.

Kumho Tire U.S.A. says its first season back in off-road racing produced multiple class wins, with all three of its sponsored drivers running KUMHO Road Venture MT71 mud-terrain tires. Mark Duval won the VORRA 4800 Class title, Stephen "Woody" Rose Jr. took the Ultra4 Western Regional 4800 Class championship and Eric Wikle won the Rock800: Legends class at the Casey Folks Vegas to Reno.

Continental Tire has signed a partnership with the ARCA Menards Series beginning with the 2027 season, covering integrated marketing, fan engagement and race-weekend activations. The Continental name is new to the series, but sister brands General Tire and Hoosier Racing Tire have supported ARCA competitors since 1995.

AutoNation has appointed Goodyear CEO and President Mark Stewart to its Board of Directors as an independent director, effective Oct. 13, expanding the board to ten members. Stewart has led Goodyear since January 2024 and previously served as Chief Operating Officer of North America for Stellantis and as a vice president at Amazon.

RNR Tire Express has signed a franchise agreement for a new store in Jamestown, New York, planned to open in early 2027, as the rent-to-own tire and wheel retailer passes 215 locations across North America. The store will be owned and run by Jeff Smith, Matt Radecki, Chris Posey and Dave Parker, who bring more than 40 years of combined rent-to-own and tire retail experience and plan more stores in Western New York.

The 2026 SEMA Show is expanding its ADAS Showcase, built with the Society of Collision Repair Specialists, with representatives from Ford, General Motors and Rivian and two live calibration bays in the Upper South Hall Nov. 3-6. Experts will show how cameras, radar, vehicle geometry, sensor positioning, replacement parts and vehicle modifications can affect ADAS operation and calibration.
