Before Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation assembled the wide range of products we build today, it all started with one vehicle: the Yamaha Golf Car.

YMMC was established in 1986, and in June 1988, the first Yamaha Golf Cars rolled off the production line in Newnan, Georgia. That milestone laid the foundation for decades of growth, with WaveRunners added in 1989, ATVs in 1998, and Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles in 2002.

Today, we're looking back at one of the golf cars that helped start it all—a reminder of how far we've come while continuing to deliver the quality, innovation, and reliability Yamaha is known for.

Each year on July 1st, Yamaha teams around the world celebrate Yamaha Day, recognizing the history, people, and innovation that continue to shape our company.

This year marks 71 years of Yamaha, and here at YMMC, we’re proud to be part of that legacy. As we count down to July 1st, we’re taking a look back at past Yamaha Day celebrations and reflecting on a special milestone in our own history: in June of 1988, YMMC built its very first Golf Car.

From that first build to the work happening across our plants today, Yamaha Day is a time to celebrate the people, teamwork, and dedication behind YMMC’s success.

Thank you, Yamaha!

The Coweta Samaritan Clinic is incredibly grateful to Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation of America for a $1,000 Community Impact Grant to help us purchase automated blood pressure cuffs for our patients.

For many of the uninsured adults we serve, managing high blood pressure doesn't end when they leave the Clinic. Having access to a reliable home blood pressure monitor empowers our patients to track their health between appointments, helps our providers make informed treatment decisions, and can prevent serious complications before they become emergencies.

This grant will directly support our mission of providing high-quality, compassionate healthcare to uninsured adults in Coweta County.

Thank you, Yamaha, for investing in the health of our community and helping our patients take an active role in managing their health!
