THE EMZ DIFFERENCE
The Catalyst’s factory mounting fl**ge and footwell guards constrain board thickness and foot interface position. How you accommodate those constraints matters.
Option 1: Angle the standing surface.
Use thinner material and angle the board downward toward the tunnel to meet the factory mounting fl**ge. This tilts the surface beneath your boots inward. Installation requires working the board between the footwell guards, while the angled mounting section doesn’t sit flush against the tunnel fl**ge. The result changes your stance in terrain where stability and consistency matter.
Option 2: Lower the foot interface.
Lower the standing surface to align with the factory fl**ge and fit between the footwell guards. This positions your boot deeper below the outer edge, increasing the height you have to transition over when moving from board to edge. It also lowers your standing position relative to the chassis, changing the factory rider geometry.
EMZ: Offset the mounting interface.
A machined offset mates with the factory fl**ge while maintaining a thicker board section and a flat standing surface at factory height.
The offset is in the board’s mounting geometry—not your foot position.
We don’t compromise function to simplify manufacturing. We put the work into the design so you don’t have to work around it on the mountain.
The EMZ running board system was designed to shed snow, increase strength and grip, and install in minutes—all while preserving a consistent platform under your feet.
Every detail has a purpose. Even the slight height difference between the inner and outer traction studs on the main beam was intentional. These boards were developed by riders born and bred on the mountain, with attention to how your boots actually interact with the board.
Pin’d isn’t the biggest brand. But we care about your day on the mountain. We took the time this design needed, and we’re proud of the result.
You should be thinking about your next line. Because we thought about everything else.
That's quality you can stand on.
