This 1976 classic required a different approach to preserve its original, fragile paint.
To safely clean the exterior, we used a garden hose foam cannon instead of a pressure washer, followed by a meticulous hand wash of the body, door jambs, wheels, tires, and engine bay.
The luggage rack was carefully removed so the paint beneath could be properly polished, while the rack itself received a thorough chrome polish and protection. We also machine-polished the metal trim surrounding the windows, the rocker panels, and the wheels to restore their shine.
The paint was then enhanced with a single-step polish using Ardex Correctables Premium Polish before being protected with Ardex Nano Polymer Sealant for long-lasting gloss and durability.
Inside, every surface was thoroughly cleaned, the leather was conditioned to restore its softness, and all glass was cleaned inside and out.
When working on nearly 50-year-old vehicles, it's not about using the most aggressive process—it's about using the right one. Protecting original finishes while bringing them back to life is what makes detailing classics so rewarding.

This 1954 Power Wagon received a complete revival, beginning with a thorough hand wash and clay bar decontamination to remove years of embedded contaminants. The paint was then machine polished, followed by multiple paint touch-ups, and protected with Ardex Labs Nano Sealant for lasting shine and protection.

The interior received a full wipe-down, additional paint touch-ups, sealing of painted surfaces, and a complete interior and exterior glass cleaning.

Bringing classic vehicles like this back to life is always rewarding, and this Power Wagon is ready to turn heads for years to come.

Tender or Tanker?

👍 for Tender
❤️ for Tanker

We completed this beast for Germania Volunteer Fire Company 100th Anniversary & Housing this Saturday June 6th.

We performed water spot removal on the tank and cab, followed by a single-step polish and long-lasting paint sealant.

While an anniversary and housing is a great reason for a detail, this also helps protect the paint from failure and protects the subsurfaces from rust, corrosion, and costly repairs — increasing uptime, extending service life, and providing better value for taxpayers’ dollars.
