“⚠️FIREWORK SHOW INFO⚠️
We're two weeks out from the 250th anniversary of this beautiful country so I figured I would release some firework show info.
❗️Friday, June 26th sometime after 7PM❗️
•The Farm at Uwharrie is hosting a demoltion derby with a firework show at the end. Gates open at 12pm, demo derby starts at 7pm, and firework show is to follow (probably around 9pm).
❗️Saturday, June 27th at 9:30PM❗️
•Troy, NC is hosting a "TroyFest" festival at Lowe Warner Park. The festival starts at 6pm and ends at 9:30pm with a firework display.
❗️Friday, July 3rd at 9PM❗️
•Uwharrie Point is hosting a firework show on Badin Lake just after sunset. I believe this is not far from the Old North State gold club.
❗️Friday, July 3rd at 9PM❗️
•There is a show on the south end of the lake somewhere between the water pump station and the south dam. Some local folks usually put on a pretty good show around there right after sunset. Be sure to participate in the Lake Tillery Flotilla that starts at 7:30PM at the Woodrun Clubhouse!
❗️Friday, July 3rd sometime after 7PM❗️
•A firework show will end the Uwharrie Wampus Cats baseball game at Don Montgomery Park. The game starts at 7PM and should finish around 9PM.
❗️Saturday, July 4th at 9PM❗️
•I will be shooting my firework show around 9pm in the randalls ferry cove (the cove inbetween Randalls Ferry church Rd and Indian Mound Rd). If you plan to watch from the lake, I would recommend getting in the cove by 8pm as it fills up fast! We had a few hundred boats packed into the cove last year so plan accordingly. If you plan to watch from land, the OLD Norwood Central Rural Fire Department building is usually a good spot, however if you plan to park there, be prepared to move incase the fire department needs to utilize that building. Anywhere along Randalls Ferry Rd facing the cove is usually a good spot to watch aswell, just be sure that you aren't trespassing on anyones property lol.
These are all of the local firework shows that I know about. If there are any more, please leave them in the comments and I will add them to the list.
As always, make good decisions and have a safe 4th of July weekend! NEVER use fireworks or operate watercraft while under the influence of ANYTHING. The fine folks at the Center Rural Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department and the Norwood Police Department do a fantastic job of keeping us safe, do not make their jobs harder.
Keep in mind the local veterans that may have PTSD. Without them our freedom would not exist. Please use fireworks at appropriate times (NOT 3am) with them in mind.”
Thank you and Johnathan Camps for compiling all of this info together!
