Penguin Paddling LLC provides kayak and stand up paddleboard rentals, outings and events from our location in Occoquan, Virginia. We can accommodate over 300 guests on the water at a time. We open the weekend closest to tax day (April 15) and close down in early October depending on the weather.

HOW TO VISIT US THIS WEEKEND!
Even though all roads into town are closed, it is so easy to still come down and join in the fun!
1. Find the closest shuttle lot to you, and secure your shuttle pass!
2. Enjoy a nice ride on the shuttle to the drop off location.
3. Come visit us behind Madigans Waterfront!
4. Get on the water!

This weekend only we are offering $5 cane pole rental for kids to fish from the dock!

June is here, and we have an exciting lineup at Penguin Paddling! Join us for River Fest on the 6th and 7th! Don't miss our Sunday Fishing sessions, starting bright and early at 8:30 am on Sunday mornings!

Looking to get on the water? We have Intro to Paddleboarding on the 13th and 27th, and Intro to Kayaking on the 20th. Plus, come celebrate Juneteenth with us on the 19th—open at 9:00 AM!

All of this on top of our normal shop hours!
M-F: 11am-7pm
Sat & Sun: 9am-7pm

Teach a Kid to Fish – where adventure meets the water!

A full-week outdoor camp for ages 10–15, blending fishing, paddling, water safety, and real outdoor skills — all led by experienced instructors in small groups. Every camper gets a quality rod and reel to keep, plus all gear provided.

It's not just about casting lines. It's about confidence, connection, and memories that last way longer than the summer sun.
