Sea-Doo says this part is "not meant to be serviced." We disagree. 🛑⚙️

When the factory plastic fitting strips out inside your iBR (Intelligent Brake and Reverse) module, you DO NOT (most times) need to buy a complete IBR Actuator!

Troy is walking you through exactly how we crack open these factory-sealed plastic housings, diagnose the internals, and swap out that cheap, stripped plastic fitting for a heavy-duty BRASS upgrade. It requires a massive amount of patience, perfect alignment, and meticulous prep work to reseal it properly, but it fixes the flaw and gets you back on the water.

Customer states: "My Sea-Doo is running slow and vibrating like crazy." 📉🚤

We pulled the pump apart and found the ultimate culprit. Someone is definitely missing a pair of swimming shorts today! This thing managed to get sucked completely into the intake grate, wrapping itself tight around the drive shaft and choked out the impeller from both sides.

Safe to say, jet pumps are meant for moving water, not doing your laundry. 🩳❌

If your reverse bucket on your Sea-Doo ever moves up and down freely with just your hand, you have a problem. 🛑⚙️

When this happens, the iBR (Intelligent Brake and Reverse) arm has stripped out the internal plastic fitting. The actuator itself is usually still perfectly good, but it can't catch the arm.

How To Fix It: We don't just sell you a massive, expensive new actuator (most times). We open up your iBR and replace that cheap, stripped-out OEM plastic fitting with a heavy-duty BRASS fitting. Your arm screws back in tight, it won't strip out again, and your iBR works perfectly.

We upgrade the flaw so you can stay on the water. 🚤💨

Scuffed nose? 🤕 Here is the easiest "facelift" for your Sea-Doo.

The front bumper takes a beating from trailer rollers and docks. If yours is cracked or faded, swapping it out is the quickest way to make your Sea-Doo GTX, RXT, or RXP look brand new again. ✨

🔧 The Fix:
It’s just 4 screws, but there is a trick to it!

1️⃣ Tools: You need a T30 Torx bit.
2️⃣ Removal: Remove the 4 screws and pop the old bumper off.
3️⃣ The Secret: Grab a helper! 🤝 The new plastic is stiff, and lining up that last screw hole can be a fight. Have your buddy flex the bumper into place while you start the thread.
4️⃣ Tighten: Hand tight only—don't crack the new plastic!

💡 Mechanic Tip:
While the bumper is off, clean the fiberglass underneath to get rid of any hidden salt or grime!

Remember that awful grinding noise coming from this Yamaha? Here is the exact reason why. 🔊⚙️

We pulled the impeller housing and found a nice hot spot right on the impeller housing. Every time that impeller spun up, it was making contact and screaming. We replaced the impeller housing and it sounds wayyyy better!

Sound diagnostics are half the battle in the bays! 🔧🚤

This is one of the craziest disasters we have ever seen in the Odyssea Shop. 😳🚢

This Sea-Doo got completely destroyed and sunk! The culprit? A tow rope with a heavy metal clip got sucked straight into the jet pump. It shredded the intake grate, destroyed the impeller, and violently blew a massive hole right through the hull.

🛑 PRO TIP: If you are towing a tuber or a wakeboarder, KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE ROPE when you spin around to pick them up. Running over your own line will cause catastrophic damage.

Miraculously, the insurance company actually covered this entire disaster.
