It’s not always the fun, exciting and big builds that keep things rolling day to day. Take this clean, low mileage base C6 vert for instance. Came to us from another shop with a dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. Transmissions shifting issues, stability/traction control issues, “Max Speed 80MPH” warning, Check Engine Light. Electrical gremlins can be tricky to pinpoint sometimes when you have lost communication with multiple control modules and CAN issues. Without just throwing parts at it, we were able to find some corroded grounds and an unresponsive ABS module.
Due to the age of these cars, many/most (if not all) control modules are long discontinued, which leaves either used or rebuilt as the only real option. We were able to have this EBCM repaired, and we were back in business! Zero codes, zero lights 👍🏼
