We just wrapped up qualifying for the International GT race weekend at Road America; we have 3 sprint races and one enduro this weekend! j_rizzo_12 qualified 3rd with his teammate right behind him in 6th! Porsche unveils the new 911 GT4 R for global customer motorsport

Porsche is expanding its customer motorsport portfolio with the new 911 GT4 R. For the first time, a car designed for global GT4 racing is based on the 911 platform. The race car is powered by a 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine delivering up to 520 PS (382 kW). It is scheduled to make its racing debut in the 2027 motorsport season. The price: $375,500, including import and delivery to the United States.

The end of an era; this will be our 10th and final season campaigning the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport at the highest level of endurance racing in North America for GT4 cars! Porsche has a new race car on the horizon based on a different chassis and this is our final event of the season. At Sebring our primary car was damaged too heavily to repair in time for this event; special things go out to our crew for all of the work that went into getting the Purple Panda ready and for staying here very late last night to make sure that our drivers have everything they need. Without teamwork we have nothing! Godspeed little Clubsport!

I don’t disagree with Porsche’s reserving PDK for all RS models because their intended environment is the race track; HOWEVER, on the street where 8K RPM is a no-no, the manual makes driving even at low speeds enjoyable. Once the auto blipper works, then it’s brap brap at every intersection!

Please join us in congratulating on his first race win since returning to the ! Joe finished 4th yesterday in Sprint Race 1 and 3rd this morning in Sprint Race 2; for Race 3 this afternoon he crossed the finish line in 2nd but after the leader was penalized for contact, he has been declared the winner. IGT’s on track activity in support of the Memorial Day Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park will conclude after the one hour enduro tomorrow morning! Running among GT3 Cup and other GT3 machinery, Rizzo competes in the Cayman 4.0L class for identically prepared Cayman GT4RS Clubsport race cars that arrive race ready from Porsche Motorsport North America!
