The rain has started and the minimum maintenance roads are turning into their annual mud competition. 🌧️🚚

Attention Amazon drivers and delivery contractors:

If you see an "Enter At Your Own Risk" sign, treat it like you just spotted a State Trooper sitting over the next hill. Slow down, pay attention, and think about your life choices for a second. 😂

Those dirt roads might look fine from the driver's seat, but some of them are one good rain away from becoming a slip-and-slide.

We'd rather see your package make it to the customer than see your van buried to the frame in a cornfield entrance.

But if the mud wins and you find yourself stuck, give us a call. We'll come get you out.

Do you have roadside assistance through your insurance company?

Do you think it’s actually a benefit?

Sometimes it is… and sometimes it definitely is not.

Most insurance roadside companies send out “auto dispatches” trying to find a towing company willing to take the call. The problem is, many of these companies try to get towing providers to do the job for next to nothing.

What happens then?

Tow companies either decline the call… or the call keeps bouncing around while you sit there waiting longer and longer.

Sometimes roadside assistance works great.
Sometimes calling a local towing company directly is much faster.

We see it every day.

At Brandon Towing, we try our best to get people taken care of as quickly as possible throughout Southwest Iowa — but insurance dispatch systems can sometimes slow the whole process down.

Just something to think about next time you’re stuck on the side of the road.

We know we’ve been a little quiet on Facebook this past week… but trust us, we haven’t been sitting still. 😅
It’s been nonstop around here with towing calls, breakdowns, recoveries, lockouts, and helping people all across Southwest Iowa.
Sometimes when we get busy, Facebook takes a back seat while we focus on getting customers taken care of safely and quickly.
We appreciate everyone that continues to call, message, tag us, and support our small business. We truly do notice it all.

This Memorial Day, Brandon Towing would like to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. 🇺🇸
Today is more than cookouts and a long weekend — it’s about remembering the heroes who never made it home and the families who carry that sacrifice every day.

Happy Tuesday from Brandon Towing LLC!
The storms may be over… or maybe not. 🤷‍♂️
With Iowa weather, you never really know what the next hour is gonna bring. One thing we DO know for certain though — Level B roads are muddy and slick right now.
If you don’t absolutely need to be down a mud road, it might be best to stay out of them for a couple days. We’ve already seen vehicles sliding off, getting buried, and needing pulled out.
4WD helps… but mud doesn’t care who you are sometimes. 😂
Stay safe, pay attention to road conditions, and if you end up stuck, give Brandon Towing a call or text. We’ll do our best to get you back out. 🚛

Storm crack your windshield? 🌩️🪟
We now have a windshield installer based out of our Shenandoah shop with 30+ years of experience installing windshields in cars, pickups, semis, and big trucks.
Don’t want to file an insurance claim and risk it going against you?
A lot of windshields cost less than a $500 deductible anyway.
Semis? No problem.
Big trucks? No problem.
This guy knows his stuff and does amazing work.

Public Service Announcement ⚠️🌪️
Incoming storms this weekend mean one thing…
Somebody is absolutely going to try tornado chasing in a 2WD vehicle on a mud road.
Please don’t let it be you. 😂
Minimum maintenance roads + rain = instant tow truck customer.
Be careful where you’re driving, stay off muddy roads, and if you do decide to storm chase, a 4WD vehicle is your best friend.
The adrenaline is fun until your vehicle starts sliding sideways into the ditch.
