Thomas has brought more than one repair to our Papillion shop.

What stood out to him each time was not just the finished vehicle, but how the team treated him along the way.

🎨 This shelf is basically a library of color.

Row after row of PPG Envirobase materials sit inside the paint area at Shadow Lake Collision Papillion.

Why so many?

Because automotive paint is not simply “black,” “white,” “blue,” or “silver.”

A vehicle's finish can involve different pigments, metallics, pearls, and color variations that all affect what the finished repair looks like.

Shadow Lake Collision uses the PPG refinishing system along with PPG DigiMatch as part of its paint process. The Papillion facility also has two USI downdraft heated paint booths.

The customer sees one finished color.

The paint department sees everything that goes into getting there. 🎨

Those pink marks on the truck are not random. 👀

Look closely at the black pickup, and you can see markings around the rear door, bedside, and wheel-opening area.

Those markings help draw attention to areas of damage the repair team has identified on the vehicle.

The technician in the foreground is cleaning the shop floor, but the truck behind him tells the real story in this photo.

One of our Papillion technicians is using it while working beside a pickup in the shop. Photos and notes help the team keep track of what they are finding as they work through the damaged areas.

That matters because a collision does not always tell its whole story from the first walk-around.

Once parts come off, the team can get a better look at what is underneath and document what needs attention.

At Shadow Lake Collision Papillion, damage mapping is part of repair planning, so the team is working from what they actually find on the vehicle.
