When two buddies got together and bought two 150cc Go Karts from a local store. Once the Karts where brought back to the farm they set out to find the perfect spot to build HP Speedway. After about 2 days of looking for that perfect spot they found one. A nice flat area between the banks of two creeks. Excavation began that day and the track began to take shape. On July 18 the first official race
was held. Since then the track has experienced many thrills and spills. In late fall of 2013 blue prints were being put together to build a new Pit Shack at HP. The Pit Shack was completed on December 7, 2013 and the finishing touches were completed on April 12, 2014. HP Speedway sat dormant for almost 8 years. Unfortunately the original track was not able to be brought back to life. But, with some private funding, and some creative minds. An entirely new track was constructed along with a new bar and event center to host events. The new track is a high banked clay track 120 ft in length and 50ft wide. "High banks on the hill"
