The final results are in on this 30-year-old Nissan R33 Skyline GT-R, and the transformation speaks for itself.
This Japanese icon came to us needing more than just a wash—it needed a complete restoration and protection package to preserve its legacy for years to come.
Every detail was carefully addressed, starting with a deep cleaning of the wheels, tires, and wheel wells to remove years of accumulated brake dust, road grime, and contamination. From there, the vehicle underwent a thorough decontamination process that included a contactless pre-rinse, strip wash, and iron removal treatment to safely eliminate embedded contaminants from every exterior surface.
Once the vehicle was fully cleaned, the paint was carefully measured and inspected panel by panel to assess its condition and ensure safe correction. After paint depth readings were recorded, the entire vehicle was clayed to remove any remaining bonded contamination before sensitive trim pieces, rubber seals, and delicate areas were masked off in preparation for correction and polishing.
The correction process itself was the most labor-intensive stage of the restoration, requiring over 12 hours of machine polishing through a comprehensive 3-step paint correction. This process significantly reduced swirl marks, oxidation, haze, and other paint defects that had accumulated over the vehicle's three decades of life. The result was a dramatic improvement in gloss, depth, clarity, and overall paint refinement, bringing the iconic R33 Skyline finish back to life.
Following correction, every surface was meticulously wiped down and nano primed and prepared to ensure proper bonding of the ceramic coatings. KOVALENT Borophene Ceramic Coating was then applied to the paint, trim, plastics, rubber seals, headlights, taillights, glass, and wheels, creating a Extremely durable barrier against UV damage, environmental fallout, water spotting, and everyday contamination. The faded exterior trim was also restored to revive its original appearance and complement the freshly corrected paintwork.
Throughout the entire process, every inch of the vehicle was inspected multiple times under specialized lighting to verify correction results, coating coverage, and overall finish quality before final delivery.
