It was a great morning in the Village of Pinehurst for this month's Cars & Coffee. Despite the summer heat, we had an outstanding turnout with a wonderful variety of vehicles on display!

Thank you to everyone who brought a vehicle, stopped by to visit, or simply enjoyed the morning with us. We look forward to seeing you again next month in the Village of Pinehurst!

Sandhills Motoring was on the road out west recently with a stop over at the Martin Auto Museum & Event Center. Their museum has over 170 cars on display, and one of the largest collections of auto memorabilia, antique gas pumps, and signage. If you are ever in the Phoenix area, be sure to stop in, it is a must see!

The Sandhills Motoring Expo is honored to announce that the recipient of its 2026 Road to Giving charitable donation is the Clara McLean House, with a contribution of $10,000 through The Foundation of FirstHealth.

Since its inception, the Road to Giving initiative has reflected the Expo's commitment to supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents throughout Moore County and the Sandhills region. This year's donation will help support the mission of Clara McLean House, a unique hospitality home located on the campus of FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital that serves patients, families, and caregivers during some of life's most challenging moments.

Operated by The Foundation of FirstHealth, Clara McLean House provides affordable lodging and a welcoming environment for patients and loved ones receiving care through FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital and FirstHealth Hospice. More than simply a place to stay, Clara's House offers comfort, encouragement, support services, and a sense of community for those navigating illness, treatment, and recovery.

"One of the most rewarding aspects of the Sandhills Motoring Expo is the opportunity to give back to the community that has supported us," said Christopher D. Smith, Commissioner of the Sandhills Motoring Expo. "Clara McLean House provides something truly special - a place of compassion, comfort, and hope for families when they need it most. Their mission aligns perfectly with the spirit of community and caring that the Road to Giving initiative was created to support. In addition, Ms. Clara McLean was a great lover of the automobile and we found it very fitting for this year's contribution."

A heartfelt thank you to the Pinecrest High School Key Club for their outstanding support of the 2026 Sandhills Motoring Expo!

As a token of our appreciation and in recognition of their invaluable support, not only does each student earn valuable Community Service hours needed for gradation, the Sandhills Motoring Expo was proud to donate $1,500 to the Pinecrest High School Key Club to help further their mission of service and leadership within our community.

Throughout Expo weekend, these dedicated students were greeting and checking in guests, directing vehicles to parking areas, assisting in the lunch and merchandise tent, and helping ensure our events ran smoothly. Their positive attitudes, courtesy, and willingness to help made a lasting impression on our participants, sponsors, volunteers, and spectators alike.

Thank you, Pinecrest High School Key Club, for being such an important part of the Expo family. We look forward to working alongside you again in the future!

The Club would like to thank Carolina Cinemas for hosting our Evening Shift this evening for the screening of 2DIE4 - a documentary of driver Felipe Nasr at the 24 Hours of Le Mans driving the #4 Porsche.

The film will only be shown at the Carolina Cinemas until this Wednesday, don't miss your chance to see this one!
