What do you feel the percentage of vehicles in the US are that live their lives in the Rust Belt? We feel maybe somewhere close to 30-40%? Now with that being said, and I know opinions are going to vary greatly here.... Is it the Manufactures responsibility to provide additional means of protection to their vehicles to support the 30-40% of vehicles they produce? Is it then reasonable to say that 60-70% of the people buying new vehicles should be charged for these additional means of protection for something they do not need?

Oil based rust prevention on GM trucks is a great idea. We have found Platinum Rust Protection to work extremely well at preserving the factory coating and protecting your vehicle. Preventing the factory coating from drying is a huge benefit to increasing the life expectancy.
