This 2022 Ford F-150 Platinum came to us after another shop had "upgraded" the factory B&O system with a 4-channel amplifier. While adding an amplifier sounds like an upgrade, the reality is the factory B&O system already uses multiple amplifier channels to individually power different speakers throughout the truck. Replacing that with a simple 4-channel amp actually removes much of the control the factory system was designed around.
A proper upgrade should expand on what Ford engineered—not simplify it. We rebuilt this system using a JL Audio 8-channel DSP amplifier and a JL Audio 4-channel amplifier, allowing every speaker to receive the power, crossover, equalization, and time alignment it deserves. The result is a system that's not only louder, but dramatically more accurate with a wider soundstage, better imaging, cleaner vocals, and powerful midbass. We topped it off with Focal Utopia speakers to deliver reference-quality sound.
Great audio isn't just about speakers and amplifiers. We also treated the entire truck with HushMat, including the roof, to reduce road noise and vibrations. A quieter cabin lets you hear more of the music—not the truck—and makes every mile more enjoyable.
