We use steel putty on the areas that previously had lead. We were contracted to install the new roof on this '69 Mustang; the finish work is being done by another shop (they hadn't installed a roof before). Our part is done! First pic is of some of the steel putty unsanded, next pic shows it's ready for finish body work.

There are many young, talented, cute, and skilled ladies out there in the auto body industry. Let's cheer them on! And don't forget the old (mid-60's), chubby ladies like me still kickin' butt working on cars!😆. We need encouragement too!🎉 Grinding welds on the Mustang, got them all finished up and started coating with epoxy primer

Roof got welded on: our "passing grade" on making sure the bracing is where is it supposed to be is the roof and windshield installed. Of course, the glass wasn't installed until the welding was done. Everything fit properly!🎉

A bit more pulling and then the bracing was treated with SEM's Rust Trap

Got tension on the roof bracing and smacking with the hammer to release the molecules so it'll stay

That left rear corner was pushed down pretty good so Dan made some heavy-duty tabs, welded them on and used the forklift to pull it up

I (Julie) tweaked my back a few days ago so I'm laid up doing nothing for a bit 🫤 and got behind on posting. This is another one of cutting the top off of the Mustang
