Here us the current YTD Data for all the dirt oval tracks here in texas. Please hold the conspiracies of why were publishing this information. Piney Woods Raceway #1 goal is to help preserve the hobby. Tracks are closing left and right across the country and the #1 contribution to that happening is lack of participation. There is somewhere around 200 actual dirt oval racers in Texas. There are some drivers that are counted twice due to misspelling of names or nicknames they used to conceal their identity when testing out a new track 😆

This is not a competition of tracks that some are trying to make it out to be, this is just hard raw data of Entries in 2026.

Carbon cars + RWYB are at about 40%
Non Carbon cars are at about 60%

How can we grow the hobby? Dirt oval in texas is only about 200 people strong this needs fixed.

Here is a factual piece of information on what classes are being raced across the state of Texas. This is by actual class registrations for the 2026 race season it seems all but one carbon car class is struggling and most of the spec and RTR classes are growing exponentially. Let's hear your opinions on why this is happening! Some opinions I have come across on this topic are.... carbon cars are too expensive to race. The maintenance on the cars is expensive and tires are consumed too frequently, Texas racers only want to get on a podium (I’m still not sure how that fits in this discussion) , there are too many classes and last but not least it’s because people are not good enough to race carbon cars. So let's hear your opinion on this topic of discussion.

New Pricing at PWR!

If you want to enter three or more cars, you can now just do a flat fee to cover them all. This $50 covers multiple entries for one driver. If you're bringing one or two, you'll still get our regular pricing that includes your dinner.

Kids 15 and under can race at $15 per entry, no matter how many they want to race. That will include their meal as well.
