Two vehicles, same make and model, 10-year age difference, and the contrast is hard to ignore. The newer one had some protection already, and you can see it’s in better shape. Let’s be realistic. There is no such thing as rust-free, no matter how well it’s maintained or where the vehicle is from. You can slow corrosion and minimize its impact, but you can’t eliminate it completely. Here in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, road salt, moisture, and changing temperatures put vehicles to the test constantly, year after year. Corrosion doesn’t happen overnight, and by the time it’s obvious, the damage may already be well underway.
