This year, I made some changes to Octane Nights with one goal in mind: making the event safer for everyone. I understand that not everyone agrees with those changes, and that’s okay. What isn’t okay are the personal attacks directed at me, my family, and my business.
For a while, I considered responding to the rumors and negativity, but I realized that people who have already made up their minds aren’t looking for facts—they’re looking for something to argue about. I’ve decided my time and energy are better spent focusing on the 99% of people who support the show rather than the 1% who don’t.
I see the comments. I read the posts. I also see so many of you stepping up to defend me and set the record straight. To everyone who has reached out with phone calls, messages, emails, and words of encouragement—thank you. Your support has meant more than you know.
Running an event the size of Octane Nights requires making difficult decisions. Every change we make is with the long-term success, safety, and future of the event in mind. I know I can’t make everyone happy, and I’ve accepted that.
What matters most is knowing that the overwhelming majority of our participants, sponsors, volunteers, and spectators believe in what we’re building and continue to support us year after year. That’s where my focus will remain.
Thank you to everyone who stands behind Octane Nights. Your encouragement reminds me exactly why we do this, and I look forward to seeing all of you on August 5th!!

Yesterday we had the pleasure of entertaining over 100 racers who are participating in BUCKEYE SKIPS Drag & Drive this week. We always enjoy hosting this event at our shop!! If you’re looking for something fun to do they will be racing at Darana Dragway (Dragway 42) tonight and our very own Octane Nights event sponsored track, Kuhnle Motorsports Park tomorrow night!!
