Along with Sunday night, seeing this article posted today, made me see how, 20 years later, this soldier is clearly still missed by many!

The crowd on Sunday night at Redwood Speedway put a new spin on “Gone, but not forgotten” with right around 1700 people coming to Redwood Falls, MN to honor his memory!

It was an incredible night and you guys raised a ton of money ($1500 from pass the helmet alone!!!!!) to be added to a scholarship in Sgt. Brent w. Koch’s name!!!

With 93 cars in the pits (82 on MyRacePass and 11 Vintage) there were people from all over!! I know we had fans up here from Texas, a few racers from Iowa, many new cars from all over Minnesota!

Thank you to Friends of Brent for sponsoring the night and to Dan Menk, Trent Loverude and their crews for orchestrating the extra payout for the classes, the little impressive details and making this event what it was!

We sold everything that wasn’t nailed down in concessions, the lines were wild! There was a LOT of food and beer consumed!! Some great racing, right down to the wire!! What a great night!!

See ya next Sunday at The Big House for Father’s Day!

Please take a moment today to remember Sgt. Brent W. Koch who was killed on June 16, 2006, in Ad Diwaniyah, Iraq, while serving with the 2nd Combined Arms Battalion, 136th Infantry.

Racers: Please park close together in the pits. We do have overflow parking available, but we want to get as many in the main lot as possible!

Spectators that plan on coming in the Pits: the area by the campers and horse arena are reserved for haulers today! Pleas do not park in the area where the cones are… (we do have 2 tow trucks running now, so… ! 😜)

Grandstand Specators: please park in your normal lot, but please park close and be considerate of others! We appreciate you!

All classes will be Draw/Redraw! Mods and Stock Cars will redraw on the front stretch at intermission! Please make sure that you are there on time! Meet under the flag stand and go out that way. If this changes, it’ll be in the pit meeting and posted by the lineups! All other classes will be auto redraw!

We are excited to honor Sgt. Brent W. Koch with a great night!!
