This 2002 BMW X5 found its way into our shop after not being able to pass smog. Our expert technician started on it with a thorough inspection, checking the vehicle's emissions systems. He found the PCV valve, which regulates the release of harmful gases and pressure from an engine's crankcase, and the oxygen upstream sensors were in need of replacement.
If your vehicle is struggling to pass SMOG bring it down to Bavarian Auto Haus today, where you can always trust us to give you a complete inspection report and break down each issue into easy, comprehensive steps.

A 2017 Audi Q5 came to us with an oil leak! Our tech got right to it, inspecting the engine and finding extensive leaks from the valve cover and upper timing cover.
The culprit? A faulty PCV valve. This little part is super important because it helps relieve pressure inside your engine by redirecting gases. When it fails, that pressure builds up, leading to those pesky oil leaks and even sludge!
To get this Audi back in top shape, we're replacing the valve cover, the PCV valve, and the upper timing cover. This ensures the engine can breathe properly and stay leak-free.

A customer, who is new to the area, was referred to us as no one else was willing to work on their 1982 Mercedes-Benz 380SL. This Mercedes-Benz has been having small issues since the customer bought it and they wanted us to replace the fuel pump, fuel filter, and accumulator, along with an oil service.
As a standard procedure, our tech also performed a thorough inspection. He found that the valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, and the transmission front pump seal are leaking and the drive belts need to be replaced. We are recommending a replacement of all components to keep this 380SL in top shape.
If you need a new go-to shop for your Mercedes-Benz or European vehicle, call Bavarian Auto Haus at 775-825-6511.

This 2014 Volkswagen Jetta came in with a persistent check engine light, rough idle, and surging, even needing to be kept in park to stay running. Our tech quickly scanned it and found the engine's cam position was off by over 10 degrees, leading to misfires! After checking sensors and wiring, the culprit was identified: a faulty valve timing actuator solenoid – disconnecting it instantly stopped the misfires! To top it off, we also found a worn-out, cracked drive belt with excessive play and a leaking valve cover.

Our recommendation? Replace the valve timing actuator, valve cover gasket, and the drive belt to get this Jetta purring like new! We're all about getting to the bottom of those tricky issues. Call today at 775-825-6511.

German vehicles like BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen are known for their precision engineering, and that means their maintenance needs are unique! Many use Condition-Based Servicing (CBS), where onboard computers dynamically monitor everything from driving habits to part wear. Because they're built with tighter tolerances for high performance, they often need specific, sometimes more expensive, fluids and parts. Plus, German cars are highly sensitive to skipped maintenance intervals – delaying an oil change can quickly lead to costly damage!

Here at Bavarian Auto Haus, we pride ourselves on understanding these specifics and keeping your car in great running condition. Let us concentrate on maintaining your car, so that you can concentrate on what matters most to you. Call today at 775-825-6511.
