EJ251R Rally Spec longblock getting the heads installed before being crate shipped to its new home.

This package is built from the ground up with a brand-new block and crankshaft, Manley H-beam rods, and our custom 12.0:1 compression pistons. Up top, it features fully built cylinder heads with upgraded valvetrain components and billet camshafts designed specifically for the demands of rally racing.

Everything is clamped together with our custom P1-manufactured SOHC head studs and Six Star MLX head gaskets, then finished with all-new timing components and covers, a Fluidampr crank pulley, and the customer’s choice of baffled oil pan.

One thing I’ve always struggled with is ignoring the trolls and the haters.

When you’re a one-person shop handling customer service, engineering, engine building, and marketing, your work is personal. You pour everything into it, so it hits hard when people spread false information—whether it’s for attention or to benefit themselves.

Lately, I’ve been realizing the best approach is probably to ignore it and keep focusing on building the best products we can. That’s easier said than done, but every minute spent arguing is a minute not spent designing, testing, and building better engines.

At the end of the day, our work speaks louder than the noise, and there’s a reason our engines continue to be successful and we are busier than ever. We’ll keep letting the products, the results, and our customers do the talking.

Right now, we’re building what is very likely more motorsport-focused Subaru H6 engines than anyone else in the world. We’re investing an incredible amount of time into research and development because our customers keep asking and paying for these builds—and because we genuinely love pushing the platform forward and building some seriously badass engines.

We’ve had a lot of people ask why we decided to keep the stock steel oil pan instead of making a deep aftermarket pan.

The answer is simple: because it works.

With our bolt-in baffle and high-flow pickup, the system approximately 7 quarts which provides more than enough oil capacity for the intended application while maintaining excellent oil control under hard acceleration, braking, and cornering.

Going significantly deeper than stock comes with real tradeoffs. Anything more than about 1/2” deeper starts becoming a serious ground clearance concern, especially on lowered cars, rally cars, and vehicles that actually get driven hard. A hard impact that would simply dent a steel factory pan can crack or break a deeper aluminum pan, potentially ending your day.

Our goal wasn’t to build the biggest capacity pan possible—it was to engineer the best overall solution. By retaining the factory steel pan, you keep maximum ground clearance, better impact resistance, lower cost, and OEM reliability, while our baffle and high-flow pickup ensure the oil stays where it needs to be.

Sometimes the best engineering isn’t adding more—it’s optimizing what already works.

NAS Performance EZ36 Oil Control Baffle & Stainless Steel 3D Printed Oil Pickup – Presale- $300USD

The NAS Performance EZ36 Oil Control Baffle and 3D printed stainless steel oil pickup are designed to improve oil control during hard cornering, braking, and acceleration, helping reduce the risk of oil starvation in performance-driven EZ36 engines.

The trap-door baffle keeps oil around the pickup during high-G maneuvers, while maintaining factory oil pan ground clearance—ideal for rally cars and anyone who can’t afford to sacrifice clearance.

The included 3D-printed stainless steel oil pickup offers significantly greater flow than the factory pickup and features a castellated inlet, allowing it to be positioned much closer to the bottom of the oil pan without restricting flow. Keeping the pickup closer to the bottom of the pan helps maximize oil availability and greatly reduces the chance of oil starvation during high-G driving.

To maximize baffle performance, the factory oil pan magnet is removed. Instead, every kit includes a magnetic oil drain plug, making it easier to inspect and clean collected metal particles during routine oil changes.
