The time has come. I began working on cars before graduating from high school and after attending Lincoln Technical Institute, it has been a full time job, 4 dealerships and then opening my own shop in 1991.
I have made hundreds of friends along the way, some great memories and lots of stories. Some good, some bad! Mistakes made and learned from. That is life, right ?
For the most of the past 50 years I have worn work boots and some sort of uniform. Ask my wife, I have very little other clothes, just the way it was. Speaking of my beautiful wife, I met her at the last dealership I worked at. 41 years this June.
Time to lay down the wrenches on a professional level and slow down from this rat race being pushed on all of us. Work on what I want to and enjoy the time with my wife and family with our hobby.
The wood sign in the office came from a customer that we rebuilt his Ford truck . A million thanks to them for trusting me with their truck. Also a couple of fun items from my "first call " parts supplier for the last few years. Your thoughts and gifts at Christmas are 100% more than any other supplier ever did. Thank you !!!
What the future holds is a unknown, I do know I will still be in the shop most everyday tinkering and working on my stuff. lol ( techs always work on their stuff last )! Helping Mark get his machine shop up and productive to support his "love" of being a machinist.
On the retirement ... NO, I do not go fishing, traveling, and the only camping we do involves the tractor and the rig. If you see this going down the road or parked, stop and say Hi ! !
So for now.... I say THANK YOU to ALL my friends that trusted me with their vehicles. Take care and GOD Bless !!!! kj
