The mail came and we got flanges! Now to do a bunch of drilling and tapping to get it assembled. I have an idea of how the wiring and relay setup will go. Just need time to make it all happen. I’ll try my best to document the whole process and do some colder weather testing to prove out if it works as intended!

We got a box from a friend and did some tinkering on Sherman! New under intake harness and new PMD harness are in. We ran out of day light so we didn’t test fire and drive the truck yet. But the chaffed wires and damage to both harnesses lead me to to believe that was part of my funky issues during pulling season. Hopefully I can test drive it this weekend after work!

Monday we dropped off the first center mount kit to our good friend Pat for his 6.5L diesel pulling truck. Today we got a package in the mail for what will be the third setup and probably my last for a bit. Sherman will have one setup. Casper or whatever four door will have the other. This third set I’m going to try to utilize the stock van up pipes and V bands just to see if they’ll hold the stress of a turned up 6.5. Now if I could just get gas for the welder and finish my setup so it can fall into a truck…

We moved Sherman for the first time in a month day. Talk about one grumpy old truck without drivers glow plugs.

Coming soon is going to be a cummins grid heater installed in the upper intake to take up the slack of warming the old beast up until I can replace the cylinder head.

I’ll get parts ordered and do a YouTube video on the retro fit and let everyone know how it works!
