For some reason, I keep hearing this random Metallica noise… yeah, that’s not supposed to be there! Someone installed a torque converter and apparently left a nut loose.

Underdog Mechanical will be CLOSED Monday and Tuesday of this week as we take a couple of days to get the shop reorganized, tackle some deep cleaning, and get everything lined out for the weeks ahead.

The last several weeks have been incredibly busy, and we’re taking this opportunity to catch our breath, get caught up behind the scenes, and make sure we’re operating as efficiently as possible as we continue to grow and serve our customers.

If you currently have an appointment scheduled for Monday or Tuesday, please don’t worry—we will be reaching out tomorrow morning to discuss rescheduling and make arrangements with you.

This 6.7 Cummins came in for what appeared to be a simple oil leak diagnosis. After digging deeper, we found the leak was more extensive than expected and the repair turned into a complete re-seal and bell housing replacement.

After a little investigation, we found the culprit—a recently installed torque converter with a loose nut rattling around and making its own heavy metal concert under the vehicle! 🎶⚙️
