The Porsche 911 Carrera T might be the best Porsche value on the market if you're searching for a long term Porsche love affair. The Carrera T is one of the lightest new Porsches you can get, has an excellent manual transmission, and comes with an easily tunable turbocharged flat six engine that can reliably make over 400 horsepower with minimal modifications. There's an argument to be made that an older naturally aspirated Porsche might be a purer example, but older Porsches come with their own problems that can be expensive to fix. We love an enthusiast who holds on to a Porsche for years because he can't bear to part with it. These forever cars become special, and we think that the Porsche 911 is uniquely suited to be that type of car. But over time, the Porsche 911 has become more exclusive, with special performance related models like the GT3 and GT3 RS commanding stratospheric prices and being more likely to be collected rather than enjoyed. Is there a Porsche 911 variant that can still inspire the kind of love and admiration that would make someone consider holding on to it for decades? One that normal people can afford? We think the Porsche Carrera T might be that car, the spiritual forever car successor to the original Porsche 911 Carrera. With the future of the Porsche Boxster and Cayman a little uncertain, the prices on clean 718 Caymans are beginning to rise, which means the entry point for what used to be an attainable modern Porsche isn't what it once was. But it might mean that the 981 gets a well deserved moment in the sun. Not as powerful, but arguably better for it, the 981 Porsche Cayman still has a flat 6 motor, looks very much like the 718 Caymans, and can be bestowed with aftermarket mods that makes it a legitimately fast Porsche. Thanks to one of our favorite upgrade packages, including Road and Track coilovers, drop links and lockout kits, and headers, this Porsche Cayman can mix it up with much more powerful cars on track. Some round out the looks, and this customer has one of the best sorted Porsche Caymans you can still get for reasonable money.

The Porsche 718 Spyder might be the best sports car on the planet and one of the best sports cars ever made. This customer added a few tasteful upgrades to his 718 Spyder in the form of more volume with some exhaust mods, a more versatile suspension, and a shifter (which we highly recommend). The result is an even more perfect version of an almost perfect sports car. To say he's a big fan of the platform would be an understatement: he's on his third 718 Spyder.
