Before our Florida trip back in March, I converted our Tahoe over to AMSOIL fluids front to rear. 🔥

Engine oil, transmission fluid, transfer case, both differentials, and coolant. I even stepped the engine oil up from the factory 0W-20 to Signature Series 0W-40.

Recently I changed the oil again and decided to send a sample off to Polaris Labs for a used oil analysis just to see how everything was holding up.

The results honestly impressed me.

At 7,000 miles, Polaris Labs said I could have safely gone even longer if I wanted to. 👀

I think I’m going to run this next interval another 7k and sample it again. If it still comes back looking this good, I may jump it to 10k next round.

Another thing that surprised me, it didn’t burn a drop. At this mileage, a lot of these 5.3s will start using some oil during longer intervals, especially with highway trips and heavier driving. I didn’t have to add any between oil changes.

It’s pretty cool seeing real-world data back up what I’ve personally experienced using quality fluids and maintaining the entire drivetrain instead of only focusing on engine oil.
