Classic Cragar Wheels | Before & After
These classic Cragar wheels came to us from an old-school Mustang after spending more than 40 years in a barn. Decades of storage had taken their toll, leaving extensive corrosion, oxidation, significant metal loss, and chrome plating that had largely failed.
When traditional chrome plating isn’t a viable option, chrome powder coating can be an excellent alternative. While it can deliver an impressive chrome-like appearance, it’s important to understand that chrome powder coating is not a direct replacement for traditional chrome plating.
Given the age and condition of these wheels when they arrived, our goal was to provide the best possible finish while working within the limitations of the original metal. The result is a refreshed appearance that gives these classic wheels a new lease on life.
